Photographer’s Prayer

Oh God, as I bring my subject into focus and prepare to make each portrait, never let me forget that I am creating treasures for some family, a keepsake for loved ones. Make me sensitive to the qualities and virtues of others, that I many draw out into the light the beautiful radiant belongings of their hearts.
Help me to be an artist, collecting the beauty of every soul, the glow of youth, the gentleness, the laughter or tears of each life that is precious in Thy sight. Deeper than a means of livelihood, give me the perspective to see my photographers art as a service to others, making life richer and more memorable. And dear Lord, between the lights and shadows, the ups and downs and the rolling years keep me from getting out of focus or off center, so that my life and my work may be framed with dignity and colored with contentment.

Bug!

Wow! I have been without my computer for days! I unfortunately got a nasty virus, but fortunately I didn't loose anything just work time. =) Big thanks to my friend Casey for getting me back up and running!!

My Baby is 2 Today!

My sweet little angel! It is so hard to say Evan is 2! Time has just gone by way too fast! We are so very blessed to have Evan in our lives. He has brought us so much joy and lots of laughter! You pretty much just see him smiling and you can’t help but smile back! My all time favorite has to be his hugs; he is the greatest bear hugger on the planet! I just adore every hug I get from him. And those moments when he just runs up to me out of the blue, gives me a hug and says “love you mommy”…make life worth living! I hope he never stops!

I am so proud of my little rock star! As you can see I posted way too many pictures, but I couldn’t pick just 2 or 3! I was so excited when he gave me a little 10 minute session! Yippy!! (Because I rarely get those =) And for those of you that know Mr. Evan really well know…this is the first pair of shoes he has put on! He only will wear his crocs. And if you look really close in one of the pictures you will see a green shirt underneath his sweater, it is his FAVORITE shirt…so I let him wear it underneath so whenever we look at these pictures we will remember him at 2 with his silly spider pj shirt! =)

Watch out Jonas Brothers…the Schmidt Brothers are on the rise!!
